Cookie Policy

Review and update your cookie preferences at any time: no account required.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember information such as your preferences and session state. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access other data on your device.

In addition to cookies, Bloc uses browser local storage to persist consent preferences and UI settings on your device. The same consent rules apply to both.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies to operate the website securely, provide a consistent experience across visits, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies to serve advertising, track you across unrelated websites, or sell your data to any third party.

3. Cookie categories

4. Your rights and choices

Under the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) you have the right to:

  • Give or withhold consent for non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit or the Cookie settings button below.
  • Withdraw consent at any time with the same ease with which you gave it: use the "Cookie settings" button in any page footer or visit this page.
  • Access clear information about every cookie we use: this policy provides that information.
  • Delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing cookies will also remove your consent record and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

5. How we record consent

When you make a choice about cookies, we store a consent record in your browser's local storage. This record contains the date and time of your choice, the version of this policy in effect at that time, and which categories you accepted or declined. We retain this record to demonstrate compliance with PECR and the UK GDPR.

If we materially update this Cookie Policy, your existing consent record will be invalidated and you will be asked to review and reconfirm your preferences.

6. Third-party services

Some cookies listed above are set by third-party services (currently PostHog). We have Data Processing Agreements in place with each provider. They act as data processors on our behalf and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes or share it with other parties.

7. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Be aware that blocking all cookies will affect the functionality of Bloc and many other websites. For guidance, visit aboutcookies.orgor your browser's official help documentation.
